Loved our stay here! Such a historic place. They are starting some renovations but our room was lovely. Breakfast was wonderful. You really need to take the time to look at all the work that went to this place considering how long ago it was built. From the doors, wood working, the imported Italian marble, it makes you wonder what it was like to be to live there in the early 1900s. Will def stay again!

There are not enough incredible things I could say about this place. The staff is friendly and helpful. It's decorated beautifully. It's quiet. The rooms are spacious and the decorations take each room to the next level. We went here for our wedding night and I am so grateful that this is where we chose to spend our evening. We stayed in the Crow room and from beginning to end it was perfection. The restaurant still isn't finished so we were sent to their sister site to have breakfast. The breakfast was incredible. Everyone was accommodating and friendly. Any issues that arose while there were met with prompt attention and kindness. The shower was perfect. The tub was luxurious. The bath salt they left was such a nice treat we were able to enjoy to relax with. We have now planned to make staying there for our anniversary an annual thing. Thank you Dale for your extra care and assistance in everything that arose for us. We cannot wait to come back.

We had a lovely stay at the Graystone Inn! The room was spacious and they had a lot of nice touches - a lighted mirror at the vanity, cozy robes, a hairdryer and makeup remover towels, etc. The breakfasts were delicious and were served socially distanced in the dining room due to Covid. The location was PERFECT for us: walking distance to tons of restaurants and shops along the riverwalk, and also located amongst many historic buildings in the neighborhood which was fun to walk through. We visited Kure Beach and Wrightsville Beach which were both only ~30 mins drive. A few constructive criticisms would be that the rooms could use more pillows for the beds, and the outdoor seating space could be made more welcoming. Overall I would highly recommend the Graystone Inn and we would stay again!

Amazing property. We enjoyed our stay mostly. The house & our room was lovely & staff was attentive. Minor issues with the step up to our bathroom (toilet room) - the tile is black and at night with the lights off we both tripped on multiple nights. So that was a bit of a concern. More minor but still kinda a hassle (1st world problems) was the TV. in our room it was in a glass enclosed cabinet and the remote only worked if you stood right by the TV and the on/off on the remote didn’t work at all so you had to get up to turn the TV off. We did have the manager Ck it and he confirmed that it was poor placement of the tv & cable box and that we did indeed have to get up to turn it off/on. Felt like I was a kid turning the channels for my parents bk in the 60’s. There is no parking lot - there is a driveway where if you know you’re not going to use your car “for the remainder of your stay” you can leave you car in the driveway & give them your keys. Other than that there is street parking right in front - it’s a busy street. The bathroom issue was a safety concern for us. Really added stress to the visit.

The inn was very nice and the staff was super friendly and helpful. Also, the entire place was spotless! The location is great because everything is in walking distance. We stayed in the Rose room, which was a nice size room with a comfy bed and sitting area. The bathroom was spacious and though the shower was big enough for two people, the tub was not, even though it is advertised to fit two. The only other thing is that the light fixture in the room blocked the view of the tv from the bed. That wasn’t a huge deal breaker but we booked this trip just to have a relaxing time away and that included being lazy and relaxing in bed. We would stay here again.

I had 2 days booked in the Cypress room this past Wednesday and Thursday. What a beautiful room, great location, easy and welcoming check in. Unfortunately Wednesday night there was an accidental fire, in which all of us were evacuated out of the hotel. Within 10 minutes we were all accommodated with rooms at the Front St inn. I want to thank all of the staff involved for all that they did and am praying for a quick recovery. I can’t wait to come back as soon as it’s back up and running, and will urge everyone else to do the same. God Bless You All!

We only stayed one night but the room was GREAT! Spacious room and bathroom. It's right in the middle of the historic district and walking distance to the waterfront and many restaurants. In addition, the room was the same price or cheaper than other local hotels/motels making Graystone a total bargain. Breakfast was included and included several great home-made items made and served by the owner. We'll stay here again for sure. Rich was a great host. Thank you again Rich and Marcia.
